Don't buy it! July 29, 2010 JC We bought the phone for my son. On paper it looks like a great deal but don't be fooled. Our screen went out after only 5 days. We returned it and bought an LG Prime. Hopefully it will be better.
awesome July 29, 2010 Deana Watson (Atascadero, California United States) I hope its not just me but i LOVE THE PHONE!! my mom has a black one and i use it all the time! The only thing i dont like about it is that the only touch screen part is typing in the #. Im not saying the touchscreen is bad, I love that feature in phones Its just i wish that it was more touch screen......
Keyboard:
I HATE flat keys. i think they are the WORST things in the world! This phone as bumps on the keys so you can feel the keys. the keyboard is easy to use and has no defaults. I hope you like it too!
menu:
It has im, mobil email, yellow pages, at&t music, media net, media mall, settings, tools, games and apps, my stuff, contacts, messaging.
I dont know if its just this phone but if you flip it to the keyboard, and you are on menu, it says that the space is select/ok. its not if. to select anything you have to press the normal ok button. which is the button that has the at&t globe on it. (the one you normaly use when it is put straight up)
The camera is great. i like it. it takes clear pics and is nice and big.
Overall, i think the phone is the BBBEEESSSTTTTT!!
I hope you enjoy just like i do. i am even going to buy myself one. i upgraded from a sonny ericsson. its not a full keyboard so i didnt enjoy it all that much. but now i REALLY enjoy my phone. I hope yo enjoy it too!
same issues as everyone else with phone call problems July 26, 2010 chizl Same issue as all the other 1 star reviews. For the first week, I loved this phone and it worked great. Then, it started to have silence and lags on all my calls (other people and voicemail), causing me and the people I call to always go through an initial frustration of shouting hello to the other end without me being able to hear them. Great idea for a phone LG in all other aspects, just one problem, it has issues with its actual use as a PHONE.
Would have been a good phone if it didn't keep shutting off July 21, 2010 Kibosh Almost everything about this phone is awesome, except for the fact that it shuts off randomly and frequently. I had it for about a week. It worked great and was a lot of fun. Then it started shutting itself off, maxing out at 22 times in an hour while at work. I ended up returning it and am deciding where to go next. The other strange thing about this phone is the default photo view on the camera. You have to shoot pictures upside down in order to have them set at the right angle for a background shot. If you don't get it right the first time, good luck adjusting it!
If you don't believe the reviews here, look around. The LG Neon shut-off issues are talked about all over the web.
Wish I could give a 1/2 star July 20, 2010 Jennski Do not buy this phone! I was attracted to the design of this phone but it is absolutely terrible. I am on my second one in about a year and about to get my third (hopefully I can get out of even that!) It started with the problem of not ringing on my end of the line. For example, the phone I would be calling would ring 3 times before I would hear a ring on my phone. The frustrated person on the other end would be saying hello several times without me hearing them if they picked up before the third ring. On my second phone, this same thing would happen coupled with me sounding "low, muffled, and distant." That's exactly how I want to sound when trying to land a job interview! I was not thrilled with many of the phone features as well. Low battery warnings would close applications, new text messages interrupt a current text, doesn't always lock the screen, turns off randomly if in your pocket...My last cell phone was good to me for three years and then I had to deal with this disappointment!
