5 out of 5 stars Raging success as a wedding present   July 1, 2010
M. Johnson (London, UK)
I bought this pot, as the title suggests, as a wedding present for my brother and his bride. The cheery, green color matched her disposition, and the heft of it makes it an item that will last through their marriage. It is fun and functional.

I was initally concerned about the strength of the leaf-handle, but it feels quite solid and they have reported no problems. My brother even said that they exchanged a crock pot they recieved because they never use it, preferring to cook "in the apple" instead.

Now I am sorely tempted to buy one for myself.

5 out of 5 stars Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Apple-shaped Pot   June 26, 2009
Diana Kern Mccollom (Tacoma WA)
This was a gift for my daughter ... It looks so pretty setting on her new black gas stove and, as she says, it is also fantastic for her cooking as well. Beautiful piece for any kitchen & is at the top of the list for both form & function.

4 out of 5 stars Pleased with Amazon's service   January 30, 2009

First one I received had some flaws so I called Amazon and another one was sent out right away. I am really pleased with the service and the pot is really cute and I am happy with that also. It is a bit bigger than my Le Creuset pepper and pumpkin and the white interior is really nice with the apple red exterior. I would recommend it...and there is nothing like enameled cast iron for cooking. I just recently changed everything over and am enjoying being in the kitchen!

Bought for my sister and she has used it several times already. Was NOT thrilled with the shipping process, but that is another story

5 out of 5 stars Lodge Enamel 3 Quart Cast-Iron Red Apple Pot   March 14, 2007

I could never say enough wonderful things about this casserole...If You Enjoy Comfort Style Cooking This Is A Must Item...I Spray the lid and bottom with a cooking spray every time I use it...I would not recommend that you put it in the dish washer ...clean up is such a breeze ...it just wipes clean with a sponge...always use thick potholders when handling ...I use a heavy cast iron trivet or stovetop when serving...keeps food warm for a very long time...you can make casseroles ahead of time and put in the fridge and then pop in the oven...this is truly a Casserole that will last for Generations...
