Product Description
Mackenzie Allen Phillips's youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

Everyone needs to listen to this audio book. It's about real life and what goes on and how you feel.

5 out of 5 stars The Truth   July 28, 2010

The Shack by WM. Paul Young did more than take my mind on a journey but it took my soul on a journey as well. I laughed, wept, remembered and basked in the revelation that was released through this perfectly penned work of fiction. In this work I was encouraged by the Truth. Thank you for sharing this powerful story.

5 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Read   July 27, 2010

I found the book to be a wonderful read that was hard to put down. If you are a person who believes God is an angry God who is always seeking adulation, then this book is not for you. Furthermore, if you are a person who lives your life via the old testament (it's not what you do in life, it's all about the things you DON'T do), then this book will not suit you. However, if you are a person who subscribes to living like that is taught in the new testament, then you will enjoy this book and recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 stars Conversations with God, forgive, love and be happy!   July 27, 2010
Clauditas (Loxahatchee, FL USA)
In this book a man has conversations with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, if you cannot conceive that anyone like you or me can talk to God, this book is NOT for you. If you can only read books that talk about God only if they stick to scripture, this book is NOT for you. I was disappointed when I saw the turn this book was taking, and I was just not in the mood for a "religious" book. But I had nothing else to listen to (I got the audio book), then I found myself crying so many times! I felt connected so much with the story, not because of what happened to the main character, but because I have felt like that so many times in my life, blaming God for not doing this or for not helping me. If you can conceive of someone putting in paper what his perspective is on God, on how he sees God and the kind of relationship he has with God, this book IS for you! Really inspiring, I have a whole notebook of quotes from this book that inspire me every day. Give it a try, this is not a secular book, this is not a religious book, this is just a guy telling you what he really believes God would tell you or me if we let him into our hearts for a couple of days.

I purchased this book as something that might help me get through a bad time after a friend's sudden death. It did.'Nuf said
