so`so November 29, 2009 Blochbauer (Boston, MA) it is not a good bib at all. The Velcro is not only too strong but also rough and firm. Bib is small and to my opinion will fit the child only up to 6 months. Mine is 5 now and already gets the strangulation lines. Its absorbency is not ideal too. Not recommended.
Not So Great Bibs November 27, 2009 S. Rohan (Amherst., MA) Although these bibs are attractive and organic, they do not actually prevent moisture from seaping underneath to clothing...which it the purpose right? I would not purchase these again nor would I recommend to a friend.
It's a good bib with light/medium absorbancy October 7, 2009 jilla I liked these bibs alot and even ordered more so I would always have a clean one. They are not perfect, I never found the perfect bib. If your baby spits up or loses alot of the bottle down his chin they will soak through to the shirt underneath. But they are great for mopping up the face - soft and not to stiff or flimsy. They are for newborn/small babies, though - at about 9 months they started getting too tight around the neck, but that's the point I wasn't using a new bib every feeding anyway, and not using them at all unless I really needed to keep the shirt clean. And you do need to close them before washing, like any bib - the velcro is very grabby.
Simple, Soakable, Bib September 23, 2009 lrene (Bellingham, WA) These bibs were exactly what I was looking for. My little guy is five months old and has begun the mega drool stage. I was having to change his shirt or outfit every hour because he would be soaked with drool from chin to tummy. He also likes to chew and suck on bibs when they are on him so I was looking for something without dyes or cutesie patchwork. These bibs do the job and I don't worry what he may be ingesting. I put one on in the morning and change it about noon.
I have put these through the washing machine several times. After the first wash I found that some of the threads were loose and if you ran your fingers over the bib strings would come loose. I just washed them again and the loose threads came all the way off and I haven't seen the same problem since.
Good option, but could be better June 2, 2009 Mary J. Webster (Minnesota) I like that these don't have all kinds of appliques and cutsie kid things. They are also terry cloth, so they are a bit more absorbent than a lot of the bibs of this size. However, as soon as it gets a little too wet, the wetness seeps down and gets the baby's shirt wet. My daughter is a spit-up queen, so we go through a half dozen of these a day. It really needs some sort of thin waterproof layer -- that would make this a 5-star product. The velcro is strong so it stays on the baby, however it's loud when you remove it so it sometimes scares them or wakes them up if they have fallen asleep with it on.
